Question of the Month with Michael G. D'Agostino

This month's question: Of all the places in the world that you haven’t yet been to, where would you like to go next?” If you want to join the fun, please click here for Michael at A Life Examined and join us.

I wouldn't consider myself a big traveler, but here's a list of places I've seen: London, Toronto, Niagara Falls, Banff, NYC, Washington, DC, Disney World, New Orleans, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Phoenix, The Grand Canyon, San Francisco, San Diego, Yosemite, Maui, and Kauai (plus most everywhere around NC, SC, and GA). Not too shabby.

Next I would love to go to . . . Vancouver. For the hiking. Here's why:

Now I'm off to see where you guys want to go. Anyone else love hiking?

  2. Beautiful pics!

I've been to New Orleans, and would like to go back some day.

  3. You've gotten around a bit indeed. We have hiking places like that around here, so I'd have no need to cross the country for that. If I hiked that is lol

  4. You've been to some nice places. If my wife gets her renewed passport in time we might go to Vancouver city this summer though not the island. I'm also thinking of going somewhere around Banff. We will be taking a cross country trip no matter what though. If no passport then we'll just do a northerly U.S. route.

Vancouver Island would be pretty excellent. I enjoy hiking, but my wife is not a fan of being in the wilds. She's afraid of wildlife encounters, especially snakes.

    1. Snakes terrify me too. I grew up next to a lake and there were water moccasins under our dock.

  7. I do love to go hiking. There was one time where I got nervous hiking. That was in New Mexico. It was a steep trail. I'm not too fond of heights. A bike went by me. I felt scared for them. My kids were 5 and 8. Let's just say that they are bouncy. I was afraid they'd make a sudden movement and the bike would go off the trail. Besides heights hiking is super fun. I love seeing where trails lead.

Vancouver would be pretty for sure!

    1. I have a problem with vertigo. On one steep trail at Banff, I was practically crawling.

  8. Looks like you've been to quite a few places! I've been to Victoria on Vancouver Island, but it was only for a day. Does that count? Been to Disneyland and Disney World, too.

  20. I went on a road trip with friends a year ago and one of the stops we made was a rainforest with a waterfall. We saw a small path on the other side of the stream, so we hopped across on some rocks that looked stable enough and went exploring. At times the path would stop and we'd have to crawl over fallen trees and traverse chasms to continue but we were rewarded at the end with an amazing picturesque new waterfall that we could walk right up to.
