Z is for . . .

Zoetrope at

“A zoetrope is a device that produces the illusion of motion from a rapid succession of static pictures.” (Wikipedia)

Here's an example. Warning: If flickering images bother you, don't press play.

And now for the final "Name That Famous Brand":

Yesterday's famous brand: Yoplait yogurt.

Well, that's all folks! I post on Mondays and if this 'z' brand is a stumper, come on by next week for the answer. I had a blast. Congrats to all who made it to 'z'. Zowie.

  1. They have one of those things at the Kentucky Horse Park (of a horse running, of course!) That bird is pretty awesome. They are so neat!

And I'm totally drawing a blank on the brand.

  2. I never knew thats what it was called.

  3. Those are just so neat.

And no idea on the brand.

  4. what a cool way to spin out of this wonderful challenge--congrats!

  5. Congratulations on making it to the end of the A-to-Z Challenge!

  6. I love the word zoetrope. Not sure why but it's one that I feel compelled to say out loud ;)

  7. Zoetropes are so interesting. Must be fun to construct, too.
    Congratulations on reaching Z:-)

  8. Like Johanna above, I love the word "zoetrope"--but I never knew what it meant, haha! Thanks for the education (and for the visit to my blog on Saturday). It's great to meet you, and I look forward to staying in blog-touch with you now that the A-Z is over. Great post!

  9. This is the first time I've seen a zoetrope in motion.

I have no clue about the brand.

  10. I like zoetropes. It's fascinating how stills can come to life. That's real creativity. Not a clue on Z, so don't forget to tell us!

I will do everything in my power to visit commenter's blogs unless I've been abducted by aliens or my children get sick. (If my children get abducted by aliens, I will be very busy, of course, catching up on my sleep.)
