A is for . . .

Some say the world will end in fire, some say in ice. From what I've read of popular fiction, you are more likely to meet your end being dismembered by a brain-eater (ala Max Brooks World War Z) or blood sucker (see Justin Cronin's The Passage).

So, given the automatic firearm of your choice, which post-apocalyptic world of fiction would you dare enter, if you absolutely had to? Zombies? Vampires? Or how does a world infected with a virus carrying a 99% fatality rate (think Stephen King's The Stand) grab ya?

This is it, the apocalypse, whoa . . .

(And if anyone could recommend a rockin' zombie read besides World War Z, I would be most appreciative.)

    Zombies probably. How could you be sure you'd really killed off attacking vampires?

    Automic firearms, post apocalyptic worlds, viruses that kill 99% of people - yea, think I might choose death instead of vampires and zombies.Unfortunately, I don't have any good books like this to recommend to you.

    I'd probably choose The Stand model. Scary enough without having to be constantly on the run from creatures that want to eat my flesh. And I DO have suggestions for you!! ZA books are my latest indulgence.     I'd opt for virus or zombies. Virus if I want it to be quick, because my poor immune system is shot I'd be gone in the first two days. Zombies, if I'm actually hoping to make it through the apocalypse because I'm a decent shot and I. Will. Survive.
